ROLE: graphic designer, typographer, branding strategist

TARGET: create bespoke logo that conveys brand’s identity and commitment to using simple, clean ingredients

Novalie Lane requested a logo that evoked the principles of the brand: a commitment to using simple, clean ingredients and compostable packaging. The client was presented with several options, and selected this bespoke logo. I developed a typography for them that felt clean, but still natural and organic in its lines.

I also collaborated with the client in developing a tag line that was in line with the brand identity and inclusive of all product categories. The logo is also framed by my original watercolor illustrations to give the logo a natural feel in line with the identity. This unique touch gave the logo something original and special, which the client appreciated.

TARGET: develop a commercial website designed to sell products and promote the brand awareness and issues important to company values and client

I designed a commercial website for Novalie Lane that showcased its various products. I composed and edited product photographs for the website in order to ensure a consistent and polished aesthetic for the site. The site includes showable products, information about the brand and its values, and a blog that handles various subjects important to the client.

Incorporated in the product pages, I included original watercolor illustrations that highlighted the simple, clean ingredients in the products. The use of these ingredients was very important to the client and the brand identity, so emphasizing them was key. Creating these designs also recalled the illustration in the logo and felt unique and special.
