ROLE: graphic designer, event planner, promoter

TARGET: build relationships with complementary businesses, increase registrant numbers, showcase product and promote registry services

I used conceptual thinking and problem solving skills to create custom signage for Pottery Barn in ABQ Uptown. I have helped to create and organize events and graphics for the store that increased business and built relationships within the community.

The most recent event I helped organize for Pottery Barn was the Bridal Soirée. The goal for this event was to increase the number of registrants and build relationships with local vendors. The signage designed for the event was made to appeal to young engaged couples, newlyweds and new homeowners. I created an invitation and signage tailored for each of Pottery Barn’s feature tables ( the gift registry, the wedding themes and the reception ). Each table highlighted inspirations for all steps of life, showcasing the products and services Pottery Barn has to offer.

The first graphic is an invitation for the event. This is meant to emulate a wedding invitation that is fresh and vibrant, and that would appeal to a young bride, a core target group for the event. The following graphics are signage that was created for Pottery Barn tables during the event. The event was successful and yielded an increase in registrants by 20%, thus achieving its target.

ROLE: copywriter, photographer, promoter

TARGET: develop online presence in the community, promote upcoming events and new products, connect with guests

The Pottery Barn at ABQ Uptown Instagram page was created in 2015. I worked closely with the administrator of the account to promote the store events cohesively with our online presence, as well as print promotions. It was also important to show the unique spirit of store in order to connect with the guests and the community.

Posts that show the store’s personality include the cake of the month tradition. In order to celebrate the associates and the month’s birthdays and anniversaries, I bake a cake the first Saturday of the month. The cake is beautifully staged with Pottery Barn’s products and gives guests inspiration as well.

Other graphics created for Pottery Barn include Tuesday Tip and Administrative Professionals Day. Tuesday Tip is a workshop that was made to generate more business on a day that tends to have slow traffic for the store. Tuesday Tip invites customers to come in the store on Tuesday morning to attend a workshop with one of our design specialists. Workshops give customers inspiration and tips, and offer customers a 10% discount for attending the workshop. The signage for Tuesday Tip is clean and consistent with the Pottery Barn brand.
